Founded in 1978, Galanz’s predecessor was a township feather product plant. In 1992, Galanz invaded into the industry of household appliances with the ambition of building a famous Chinese brand in microwave oven industry and introducing microwave oven into Chinese households. Galanz started from the scratch in past ten years and rose rapidly from top one in China to top one in the world. Galanz produced 10000 microwave ovens in the first trial in 1993 and ascended to the top seat in China by its 25.1% market share in 1995, stepped over the threshold of 6 million sets in 1999 and became the largest professional microwave producer in the world. In 2001, Galanz set a record of 12 million for global output and sales volume and allowed Chinese to benefit from the new consumerism of “high grade and quality, but not high price” in the storm of “light wave oven widespread storm”. In 2006, Galanz kept its top position in terms of sales volume and market share of microwave ovens in China for twelve years consecutively and the won the championship of export volume of microwave ovens and foreign-exchange earned for nine years consecutively.

Galanz entered into air conditioner industry since 2001 while realizing steady upgrading of microwave industry. As the pioneer in deluxe stainless steel air conditioners, Galanz found its name among strongly competitive brands in the first year when Galanz set its food into the air conditioner and refrigerator industry. In 2004, Galanz invented light wave air conditioner, which became popular immediately. The export volume ranked among leading ones in the world and helped Galanz to become a major producer of air conditioners in the world. In 2005, “globally largest professional air conditioner R&D base” was established in Galanz. This super-scale (3000mu) air conditioner R&D base engages in collective development and production of light wave air conditioners and became another “global champion” after the microwave oven.

Household appliance is the third pillar industry of Galanz after microwave oven and air conditioners. Since 2005, Galanz, after having prepared for many years, changed its strategy of “only exporting” to “marketing in both domestic and international markets”, built the professional teams of “R&D, technology, production and marketing” and produced and sold collectively high-grade cook, electromagnetic oven, roaster, electric thermometer and etc. In recent years, Galanz’s household appliances are expanding its share in global market by a growing rate above 100% each year and its output and sales of electric roaster, cook and electromagnetic oven have reached the global level.

In 2007, top-end refrigerators and washing machines independently developed by Galanz started to explore the international market.
