Guo Wenjun of China successfully defended her Olympic 10-meter air pistol title by producing a near-perfect last shot in the final on Sunday.
It's the second shooting gold in two days for China, after Yi Siling won the opening 10-meter air rifle.
Guo scored 10.8 out of 10.9 to rise from second. The leader, Celine Goberville of France, shot an 8.8 to fall into a tie with Olena Kostevych of Ukraine. Goberville won their one-shot shootoff to take the silver and leave Kostevych, the 2004 Olympic champion, with bronze.
