After the clutch of Christmas deals, shops an department stores all over town are prepping for the new year--and a host of big bargains.

Most sales are on until Jan. 3, but Zhongguancun’s The Gate City Mall will launch their annual promotion during three hours of crazy pandemonium on the last day of 2011 (between 6 to 9pm), where most fashion labels at The Gate will offer their best discounts. In addition, FCUK, I.T, double-park, B+ab, 5cmm and Tout A Coup will knock off RMB100 for those spending over RMB400. Spends over RMB1,000 at Bread n Butter and get a free shirt worth RMB299. Also, Esprit will hold a store-wide 70 percent discount, with other fashion labels offering half-price discounts on their stock. For those tough enough to eat ice cream in the middle of winter, Cold Stone is having a buy-one-get-one-free regular cup offer. Popular bakery Bread Talk will hand out felt card holders to anyone buying any three breads.

New World Shopping Mall at Chongwenmen

New World at Chongwemen will extend their opening times on Dec. 31 until 2am*. Also, starting from 8pm on Dec. 31, clothing, accessories, and jewelry will be sold at a 60-90 percent discount. Before Jan. 3, most clothing brands are giving RMB60 off to shoppers who spend over RMB99 on selected winter collections. Until Jan. 3

New World Xuancai Department Store Most fashion brands are offering RMB60 off on every purchase over RMB99. Some brands like ONLY, Vero Moda, Etam, ES are slashing 50-70 percent of regular prices. Until Jan. 3

Xinhua Department Store

All clothing brands are giving RMB48-68 off to shoppers who spend over RMB99. Those splashing out over RMB1,500 can nab a shopping coupon worth RMB800. Until Jan. 3

Starting from Jan. 1, shoppers who buy products valued over RMB100 can get RMB60 off. Until Jan. 3

Scitech Outlet Mall

This big outlet is offering discounts of up to 80 percent on over 200 popular brands, including Armani, Bally, DKNY, D&G, I.T, Coach, Ports, Max Mara, Zegna, Miss Sixty, Nine West and Gant. Shoppers who spend over RMB380 can get a red shopping bag for free, and those buying products worth over RMB3,800-28,000 can get a free meal at one of Scitech's on-site restaurants, including Yoshinoya, Subway and Kangshifu Noodles or a night at Scitech Hotel. Shoppers who spend over RMB99 on winter clothing can get RMB50 off.
