HONG KONG, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- The volume of Hong Kong's goods re-exports dropped 2.8 percent in November of 2011, with domestic exports down 37.6 percent, the Census & Statistics Department of Hong Kong government said Tuesday.
Taken together, the volume of total exports decreased 3.6 percent. The volume of imports rose 2.9 percent.
Comparing the first 11 months of 2011 with the same period in 2010, the volume of re-exports increased 3.4 percent, whereas that of domestic exports fell 20.6 percent. Taken together, the volume of total exports increased 2.9 percent. The volume of imports rose 5.3 percent.
Comparing last November with November 2010, the prices of goods re-exports increased 7.7 percent, while that of domestic exports increased 6 percent. Taken together, the prices of total exports rose 7.6 percent. The prices of imports increased 7 percent. ' For the first 11 months of 2011 over the same period in 2010, the prices of re-exports increased 8.1 percent, while those of domestic exports rose 6.6 percent. Taken together, the prices of total exports increased 8.1 percent. The prices of imports increased 8.2 percent.?
